About StreamTree

StreamTree Associates is a counseling, coaching and consulting service in Kirkland, Washington. It is owned and operated by John Bachelor, who is its full-time resident counselor. The history of StreamTree dates back to 1983, when John began a private practice in his local community, though the name itself was added in 1990. John, then the director of counseling for a busy metropolitan counseling agency, wanted to offer a local counseling service that was positive, comfortable, consistent with traditional values, and at the same time adhering to the highest professional standards.

StreamTree offers counseling to individuals, couples and families as well as counseling and consulting for some business issues (see "specialties"). Small groups, classes and other training are also offered from time to time, along with occasional speaking engagements. Additionally, StreamTree provides Life Coaching services for individuals and business people. Since coaching can be done exclusively by telephone as well as in person, StreamTree has moved to a more global outreach.

Suzanne Bachelor, John’s wife and a Professional Life Coach, also does much behind-the-scenes administrative work. It may be Suzanne's upbeat voice that answers the phone the next time you call. Suzanne, who retains her status as a certificated teacher though she left the classroom some years ago, has done educational consulting and testing under the StreamTree umbrella. She continues to enjoy her work with StreamTree clients as a Professional Life Coach.
