We like to think of money invested in counseling as one of the best investments a person can make. It is an investment in oneself, one's relationships and one's future. We also think the "cost to benefits" ratio compares very favorably to other investment options such as upgrading one's car or computer, or remodeling one's home. (But, of course, we're biased.) If you have any questions about the following financial policy information, please feel free to call: (425) 821-3944. John Bachelor's fee is $140 per session. When payment by cash, check or credit card is received on the day of the visit, a discount of slightly more than 10% applies, reducing the cost to $125.00. Payments by cash or check may be made at John's office. Credit card payments may be made through the StreamTree website (www.streamtree.com; click on the "Online Payments" link). Checks may also be mailed to the address below, though to take advantage of the 10% discount they must arrive on or before the day of the appointment. When there is an outstanding balance, payments will be applied to the earliest charges first. Unpaid balances will be assessed a finance charge of 1% per month (12% APR). Clients are asked to keep their accounts current (unless special payment arrangements have been made). Please note: If the fee as stated above would cause financial hardship, there is the possibility of arranging for a reduction. You may call about this possibility or speak to John about it on your first visit. Sometimes we are asked whether a free introductory consultation is available. While John does charge his regular fee for a first appointment, he welcomes the opportunity to get acquainted and answer questions by phone. Feel free to call and ask to speak to John personally. There is no charge for this. Counseling sessions are
45 to 50 minutes long.
No charge will be made for an appointment that is canceled at least 24
hours in advance; otherwise, a
missed session will be billed as a broken appointment at the regular rate.
(If the appointment was missed due to an unforeseeable emergency, such as sudden
illness or an accident, you may request that the fee be waived. The fee
will also be waived if the roads are unsafe for travel due to snow. Please
call the office when you realize that you will not be able to keep your
appointment.) Report writing or other "extra" services will be billed at
$140
per hour. Fees may be revised from
time to time. Mailing Address for Payments: John Bachelor
